Basketball Recap: Swain County Find Success

Swain County lost to Hiwassee Dam back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Swain County Maroon Devils walked away with a 69-59 win over the Hiwassee Dam Eagles.

Swain County's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Hiwassee Dam, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Swain County will head out to face off against Mitchell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hiwassee Dam, they are taking a road trip to take on Hayesville at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hiwassee Dam is facing Hayesville at the right time seeing as Hayesville is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
