Basketball Recap: Grenada Comes Up Short

Grenada was the 71-61 winner over Calhoun City when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Chargers were outmatched by the Wildcats and fell 73-34. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Chargers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Fletcher Hargers Jr., who posted four points. Hargers Jr. is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Eden Johnson was another key player, putting up six points.

Grenada's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Calhoun City, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-3.

Grenada didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 73-69 loss against Oxford on the 13th. As for Calhoun City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 72-53 victory against J.Z. George on the 13th.
