Volleyball Recap: Belmont Takes a Loss

Belmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Robert F. Kennedy Community Bobcats, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.

Belmont took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-19, 25-22.

Belmont's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Robert F. Kennedy Community, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Belmont is set to challenge their familiar foe Roybal at 4:00 p.m. on the 23rd. Meanwhile, Robert F. Kennedy Community will face off against rival Contreras at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
