Basketball Recap: Baboquivari Takes a Loss

Baboquivari extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping them down to 3-6. They received a blow as they fell 55-40 to the Mogollon Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-45 on Thursday.

As for Mogollon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4. With that win, they brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.

Mogollon can attribute much of their success to Quinn Tenney, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Stetson Owens, who posted seven points and 12 rebounds.

Baboquivari has already played their next game, a 60-52 victory against Valley Union on the 13th. As for Mogollon, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Michael at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2026.
