Baseball Recap: Northfield Continues Road Dominance on Monday

Northfield's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Lewis Cass Kings by a score of 5-2. The Norsemen have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Kings, too.

The team relied heavily on Branson Hayslett, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaden Baer, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Northfield's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-13. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Lewis Cass, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.
