Softball Recap: Sandalwood Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Sandalwood waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 12-8 victory over the Wolfson Wolfpack. That's more bragging rights for the Saints, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Madison Seprish and Lovie Bautista did most of the damage at the plate: Seprish scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while Bautista scored two runs while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs Bautista has posted over her last eight matches. Madison Heath was another key player, scoring two runs.

Sandalwood hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive contests.

Sandalwood's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Wolfson, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5.

Looking ahead, Sandalwood will head out to square off against Menendez at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Saints' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Wolfson, they will be playing at home against Englewood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
