Softball Recap: Jefferson Drops Highest Score of Season Against Kent-Meridian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jefferson). They never let the Kent-Meridian Royals get on the board and left with a 21-0 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Royals: they've now won nine in a row.

Emily Kropp made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. Kropp was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Karis Song was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Jesabella Arceo was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2.

Jefferson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 25 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matchups.

Jefferson's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Kent-Meridian, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.
