Inspiration Academy entered their tilt with Notre Dame Academy on Thursday with eight consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with nine. They were the clear victor by a 16-3 margin over the Notre Dame Academy Gators. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Emma Szabo was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Alexis McInerney was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. Maddie Ferrari was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one triple.

Inspiration Academy's record is now 15-4. As for Notre Dame Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Inspiration Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bishop Verot at 7:00 p.m. on April 3rd. As for Notre Dame Academy, they will challenge Elizabeth Forward at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
