Softball Recap: Hopatcong Comes Up Short

Hopatcong fell victim to Newton and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Braves. The loss continues a trend for the Chiefs in their meetings with the Braves: they've now lost nine in a row.

Hopatcong's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Newton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hopatcong will welcome Somerville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Newton, they will face off against Vernon at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
