Baseball Game Preview: Deering Rams vs. Cheverus Stags

Deering hasn't had much luck against Cheverus recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Rams will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Stags at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Deering is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They came up short against South Portland on Friday, falling 6-0.

Deering saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Johnny Bechard, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Cheverus came up short against Thornton Academy on Friday and fell 6-3. The Stags haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
