After a string of four wins, Ash Grove's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 49-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fordland Eagles. The contest marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Ash Grove's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3. As for Fordland, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Ash Grove will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Chadwick at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Chadwick has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 186 points over their last three matchups. As for Fordland, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 40-31 loss against Marionville on the 26th.
