Softball Recap: Trimble County Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Trimble County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Collins Titans. The victory was familiar territory for the Raiders, who have now won three contests in a row.

Hannah Chilton spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Alyssa Ritchie was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

Trimble County's record now sits at 14-6. As for Collins, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

Trimble County will have a chance to go back-to-back against Collins: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
