Softball Recap: Groesbeck Goats vs. Fairfield Eagles
Groesbeck was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell victim to a rough 12-1 loss at the hands of the Fairfield Eagles. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Groesbeck has scored all season.
For Fairfield's part, Madox Mitchael was incredible, going 3-for-3 with two runs, a triple, and a double. Mitchael hasn't dropped below three hits for three straight games. Kennedy Lane was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Groesbeck's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Fairfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season.
Groesbeck does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Fairfield also has no future games currently scheduled.
