Football Recap: Gillett Comes Up Short

Gillett played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Suring Eagles and fell 47-6. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Even if they lost, Gillett's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Elias Hebert, Nolan Van Donzel, and Trevor Schaal, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Gillett is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4. As for Suring, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Gillett will take on Lena/Aquinas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titians' defense has only allowed five points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Suring, they will challenge Niagara at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
