Baseball Recap: Milford Comes Up Short

Milford and South Sevier squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Milford had to settle for second. They lost 17-4 to the Rams. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Milford saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marco Saavedra, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Milford's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for South Sevier, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season.

Milford's road trip will continue as they head out to face Duchesne at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.33 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for South Sevier, they will face off against San Juan at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Broncos have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
