Recap: Oneonta Redskins vs. Brooks Lions
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Oneonta Redskins can now relate to. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 56-42 to Brooks. It was the first time this season that Oneonta let down their fans at home.
Garrett Burrough had a dynamite game for Brooks, rushing for 195 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also throwing for 174 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes. Omar Joyner was another key contributor, gaining 141 total yards and two touchdowns.
Oneonta's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Brooks, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Oneonta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Brooks will face off against Priceville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
