Baseball Game Preview: Smyrna Eagles vs. Sussex Tech Ravens

Smyrna hasn't had much luck against Sussex Tech recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Eagles will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Ravens at 4:15 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

11 must be Smyrna's lucky number: they beat Caravel Academy with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Eagles beat the Buccaneers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-6. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Sussex Tech put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over Queen Anne's County. The Ravens might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by six runs or more this season.

Sussex Tech's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Smyrna, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
