School Without Walls faced Sidwell Friends in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Penguins put the hurt on the Quakers with a sharp 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Penguins sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

While School Without Walls won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-23, 25-15.

Among those leading the charge was Elle Ericsson-White, who had six digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last six matches. Ila Zakrajsek also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: School Without Walls was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in six consecutive contests.

School Without Walls' victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Sidwell Friends, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

School Without Walls has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Bard on the 4th. As for Sidwell Friends, they will host St. Stephen's & St. Agnes at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
