MacArthur hadn't done well against Pearce recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Cardinals had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 5-4. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cardinals as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Harper Goff spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.

At the plate, Jayden Sanchez was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Frank Baez, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

MacArthur's win bumped their record up to 13-10-3. As for Pearce, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season.

MacArthur will take on Irving at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pearce, they will square off against Sachse at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pearce will need to watch out since Sachse has now posted at least ten runs in their last four games.
