Softball Recap: St. Joseph Central Comes Up Short

St. Joseph Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Sherman Tide, falling 16-2. The matchup marked the Irish's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

St. Joseph Central now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Sherman, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Joseph Central will welcome Tolsia at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rebels have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something the Irish will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Sherman, they will challenge Midland Trail at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
