Basketball Game Preview: Liberty Leopards vs. Brookfield Warriors

The Liberty Leopards will face off against the Brookfield Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since January 4.

Last Tuesday, Liberty took a blow against Crestview, falling 73-36.

Meanwhile, Brookfield earned a 46-36 victory over Champion on Tuesday.

Brookfield found their leader in freshman Blake Hammond, who went 8-for-18 en route to 19 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Hammond is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Rob Flynn, who posted seven points along with ten rebounds and seven assists.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Brookfield, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.

Liberty couldn't quite finish off Brookfield when the teams last played back in January of 2024 and fell 60-57. Can Liberty avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
