Softball Recap: Southern Takes a Loss

Southern fell victim to Bullitt East and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 15-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 13-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2019.

This is the second loss in a row for Southern and nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Bullitt East, their win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3.

Coming up, Southern will challenge Butler at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bullitt East, they will take on South Oldham at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dragons have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
