Basketball Recap: Washington-Marion Takes a Loss

Washington-Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They fell 41-33 to the Plainview Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Charging Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while the Hornets are ranked 42nd).

Washington-Marion's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Plainview, they have been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Washington-Marion is taking a road trip to face off against Hamilton Christian on Tuesday. Hamilton Christian will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Washington-Marion surely won't give up without a fight. As for Plainview, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-35 win against Elton on the 17th.
