Soccer Recap: Northside Takes a Loss

Northside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Staunton River Golden Eagles. That's two games in a row now that Northside have lost by just one goal.

Northside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Staunton River, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Northside will square off against Hidden Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Staunton River, they will venture away from home to face off against Franklin County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin County's defense has only allowed 0.2 goals per game this season, so Staunton River's offense will have their work cut out for them.
