Basketball Recap: American Prep WV Takes a Loss

American Prep WV was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 33-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Merit Preparatory Academy Knights. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

American Prep WV's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Merit Preparatory Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at eight games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-2 record.

While American Prep WV had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
