Frankton extended their winning streak to nine games thanks to a huge performance from Trey Bennett. The Frankton Eagles came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 41-36 W against the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers thanks in part to Bennett, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last 11 games he's played.

Blake Niccum was another key player, putting up two points along with six boards and five steals. Those five steals gave him a new career-high.

Frankton's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8. As for Alexandria-Monroe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-15.

Looking ahead, Frankton will take on Shenandoah at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alexandria-Monroe, they will head out on the road to challenge Daleville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Alexandria-Monroe is facing Daleville at the right time seeing as Daleville is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
