Volleyball Recap: Vanguard Academy Takes a Loss

If Vanguard Academy was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights lost 3-0 to the Jordan Beetdiggers on Friday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-10, 25-14.

Despite the loss, Vanguard Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Locklynne Mattingly had ten digs.

Vanguard Academy's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-11. As for Jordan, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

Vanguard Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jordan, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Hillcrest on the 29th.
