Basketball Recap: Rockville Takes a Loss

Rockville lost against Wootton back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Rockville Rams fell 54-42 to the Wootton Patriots. The defeat leaves the Rams without a win on the season.

Chase Mitchell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wootton, going 7 of 17 en route to 26 points and six assists. Mitchell's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brenden Famulare, who posted four points in addition to seven boards and five assists.

Rockville's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Wootton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Rockville will look to defend their home court on Friday against Magruder at 7:15 p.m. Rockville is facing Magruder at the right time seeing as Magruder is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Wootton, they will head out to face off against Churchill at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
