Volleyball Recap: Belen Jesuit Extends Winning Streak to Three

Belen Jesuit had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Varela Vipers. This was a revenge game for the Wolverines: when they faced off against the Vipers last Tuesday, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

William Essig paced Belen Jesuit's offense, picking up six kills. Essig got some help from Luke Diaz and his 13 assists.

Belen Jesuit's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Varela, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.

Belen Jesuit and Varela will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time Belen Jesuit sees the court they'll take on St. Thomas Aquinas at 6:00 p.m. on April 1. As for Varela, their break will end when they face Columbus at 7:15 p.m. on April 1.
