Volleyball Recap: Noble & Greenough Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Noble & Greenough had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 3-1 to Groton School on Wednesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Noble & Greenough started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-16.

Kailynn Zheng paced Noble & Greenough's offense, picking up 17 kills. Zheng got some help from Rhea Shah and her 20 assists. Amari Gomez controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Noble & Greenough will take on St. Paul's at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Groton School, they will face off against St. George's at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
