Basketball Game Preview: Mescalero Apache Chiefs vs. Capitan Tigers

The Mescalero Apache Chiefs will square off against the Capitan Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mescalero Apache is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Mescalero Apache took a blow against Texico, falling 61-33.

Meanwhile, Capitan was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 57-53 to Lordsburg. The Tigers have struggled against the Mavericks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Mescalero Apache's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Capitan, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.

Mescalero Apache was able to grind out a solid win over Capitan in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 39-26. Will Mescalero Apache repeat their success, or does Capitan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
