For the first time this season, Neuqua Valley will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will challenge the Naperville Central Redhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neuqua Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

Neuqua Valley will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal last Thursday, then bounced right back against DePaul College Prep on Saturday. The Wildcats never let the Rams get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. While Neuqua Valley didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-11-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

They hit DePaul College Prep with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Samantha Latawiec (2), Miabella Kraai, Alaina Chandola, and Allessandra Russo.

Meanwhile, Naperville Central faced Edwardsville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Neither the Redhawks nor the Tigers could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result kept Naperville Central happy, as they haven't lost a game yet this season.

With that draw, Naperville Central's record moves to 6-0-1. As for Neuqua Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Neuqua Valley couldn't quite get it done against Naperville Central in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
