Basketball Recap: Fulton Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

There's no place like home for Fulton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 62-54 win over the Cocke County Fighting Cocks on Tuesday. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Fighting Cocks are ranked 200th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fulton's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.6 points. As for Cocke County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Fulton will welcome Bearden at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bearden's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Cocke County, they will face off against Carter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Carter knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Cocke County likes a good challenge.
