Baseball Game Preview: West Ouachita Chiefs vs. Tioga Indians

For the second straight game, West Ouachita will face off against Tioga. The Chiefs will challenge the Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. West Ouachita's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Tioga's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

West Ouachita is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Tioga just ended the team's nine-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

The win was the fourth in a row for Tioga, bringing their record up to 20-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for West Ouachita, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 20-9.
