Basketball Recap: Monticello Takes a Loss

Monticello lost against Western Albemarle on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Monticello Mustangs might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 65-42 to the Western Albemarle Warriors, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Monticello's defeat dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Western Albemarle, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Monticello does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Western Albemarle, they will square off against Liberty Christian at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Liberty Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
