Recap: Sumter Christian Bears vs. Carolina Christian Academy
The Sumter Christian Bears put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 85-66 win over Carolina Christian Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Aj Danzy was his usual excellent self, scoring 42 points. Danzy is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 21 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Larry Wayne Rodgers, who scored 19 points.
Sumter Christian's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points per game. As for Carolina Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sumter Christian will take on the Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Carolina Christian Academy, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Sharks at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th.
