Baseball Game Preview: Peninsula Panthers vs. North Saxons

The Peninsula Panthers will square off against the North Saxons at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

Peninsula came up short against South last Monday, falling 15-9. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly six runs.

Peninsula got a big performance out of Alex Han, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those four RBI gave Han a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aaron Monzon, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, North came into Monday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Neither they nor Mary Star of the Sea could gain the upper hand on Monday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 tie.

Peninsula has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-3-1 record this season. North's draw gives them a new season record of 3-7-1.

Peninsula took their win against North in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 11-4. Does Peninsula have another victory up their sleeve, or will North turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
