After low-scoring totals in their previous four game, Lincolnton brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bessemer City Yellow Jackets an 8-0 shutout on Monday. It was an even better day for Justin Blanco-Tellez as he scored three goals for his team.

Lincolnton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3-1. As for Bessemer City, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-3-1.
