Softball Recap: Edwardsburg Comes Up Short

After flying high against Gull Lake on Saturday, Edwardsburg came back down to earth. The Eddies fell just short of the Dowagiac Chieftains by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chieftains this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 on Saturday.

Edwardsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Dowagiac, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 30-2.

Edwardsburg will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kalamazoo Central at 4:30 p.m. on the 28th. As for Dowagiac, they will challenge Paw Paw at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
