Basketball Recap: Shasta Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Shasta, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 57-45 win over the Eureka Loggers on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Wolves: when they faced off against the Loggers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 72-67 defeat.

Eureka lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Elijah Estrada, who posted 12 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Xavier De La Rosa, who had 12 points and six boards.

Shasta's victory bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Eureka, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-7.

Shasta didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-39 win against Orland on the 29th. As for Eureka, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 75-46 victory against South Fork on the 27th.
