Basketball Game Preview: Westlake Rams vs. French Settlement Lions

The Westlake Rams will challenge the French Settlement Lions on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Westlake comes in on three and French Settlement on five.

Westlake is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They strolled past Springfield with points to spare, taking the game 48-31.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when French Settlement took on Many on Monday. Everything went French Settlement's way against Many as French Settlement made off with a 52-28 win. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 21 points or more this season.

French Settlement's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points over those games. As for Westlake, their win bumped their record up to 18-6.

Westlake was able to grind out a solid victory over French Settlement when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 46-36. Will Westlake repeat their success, or does French Settlement have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
