Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Schalmont walked away with it. They pulled ahead with a 40-39 photo finish over the Watervliet Cannoneers on Wednesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Sabres as it spelled an end to their 17-game losing streak.

Schalmont's win bumped their record up to 2-19. As for Watervliet, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 15-6 record.

Looking ahead, Schalmont will challenge Hudson at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. Hudson will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Schalmont surely won't give up without a fight. Watervliet does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
