North Shore is  a perfect 7-0 against Kingwood since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. North Shore will be playing in front of their home fans against Kingwood  at 7:00  p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Kingwood will  challenge  a team with plenty of momentum: North Shore extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Mustangs simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Humble 34-6. Given the Mustangs' advantage  in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Wildcats are ranked 260th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

 North Shore's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Hezekiah Johnson, who rushed for 79 yards and one  TD, and also picked up 32 receiving yards. Those  79  rushing yards gave  Johnson a new career-high.  Jaylen Bocard was another key pass catcher, picking up 109 receiving yards and one  score.
Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Kingwood). They blew past Goose Creek Memorial 42-15  on Saturday. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  victory against them.
 North Shore better keep an eye on  Landon Hinson. He was instrumental in Kingwood's win, throwing for 327 yards and five  touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of  Josh Vote, who picked up 118 receiving yards and one  TD.
 North Shore's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Kingwood, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-1.
 Everything came up roses for North Shore against Kingwood in their previous meeting  back in October of 2024, as the  team secured  a  48-21 win. Will North Shore repeat their success,  or does  Kingwood has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
