Baseball Recap: Williamson's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Williamson was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Lyons last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Marauders took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sodus Spartans on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

David DeFisher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks.

Having lost for the first time this season, Williamson fell to 2-1. As for Sodus, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coincidentally, Williamson and Sodus will both be playing East Rochester the next time they take the field. The Spartans will head out to face the Bombers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Marauders will head out to face them at 4:45 p.m. on the 21st.
