Football Recap: Jay Skates Past Central with Ease + How To Watch

After only seven points in their last contest, Jay made sure to put some points up on the board against Central on Friday. The Royals claimed a resounding 47-7 victory over the Jaguars. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-7.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Jay, racking up 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Landon Stewart, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Jay's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Central, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Jay will venture away from home to take on Northview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Central, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Vernon at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
