The Eastern Hancock Royals are on the road again on Tuesday to play the Wes-Del Warriors at 5:30 p.m. Eastern Hancock will be strutting in after a win while Wes-Del will be coming in after a loss.
On Monday, Eastern Hancock narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Northeastern 8-6.
Brayden Sullivan was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
Meanwhile, Wes-Del was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 19-5 to Frankton.
Kenny Drake was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI. Blake Durr was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Even though they lost, Wes-Del hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That's the fewest strikeouts they've managed all season.
Eastern Hancock's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-15. As for Wes-Del, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
Eastern Hancock was able to grind out a solid victory over Wes-Del in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, winning 5-2.
