Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Clover Hill walked away with it. They came out on top against the Deep Run Wildcats by a score of 4-1 on Friday. The Cavaliers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Olivia Kelly, who went 3-for-4 with one triple and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Paige Marshall was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

Clover Hill's victory bumped their record up to 12-7-1. As for Deep Run, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-4.

Looking ahead, Clover Hill will challenge Midlothian on Tuesday. The Cavaliers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. Deep Run does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
