Football Game Preview: Poyen Indians vs. Bearden Bears

The Poyen Indians will take on the Bearden Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bearden took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Poyen, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Poyen earned a 28-21 victory over Baptist Prep.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Bearden's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 23-22 to Carlisle. While the Bears had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Bison 6-0.

The win got Poyen back to even at 4-4. As for Bearden, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-3.
