Basketball Recap: Wheaton North Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Wheaton North Falcons came up short against the Libertyville Wildcats and fell 59-47. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 127th).

Wheaton North has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Libertyville, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. It'll be Northside v. Southside when Wheaton North and Wheaton-Warrenville South meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Libertyville, they will take on Waukegan at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
