Basketball Game Preview: Perry-Lecompton Kaws vs. Atchison Phoenix

The Perry-Lecompton Kaws will challenge the Atchison Phoenix at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Perry-Lecompton and Rossville meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Kaws fell 54-44 to the Bulldogs. The Kaws' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Atchison took a blow against Oskaloosa on Wednesday, falling 64-26.

Atchison now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for Perry-Lecompton, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
